 Michael Zwibelman

Michael Zwibelman is an experienced
litigator who has represented clients in a range of civil and
criminal matters, including complex commercial litigation, white
collar criminal defense, and internal corporate investigations.
He has represented individuals and corporations under
investigation by the Securities and Exchange Commission and the
U.S. Department of Justice for securities fraud, insider
trading, and alleged violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices
Act, and has handled several complex securities and antitrust
matters in state and federal court.
Prior to joining Brune & Richard, Mr.
Zwibelman spent four years as a litigation associate in the San
Francisco office of Heller Ehrman LLP, where he represented
individual and corporate clients in a variety of securities and
antitrust matters, including a six-week criminal securities
fraud trial of a former chairman and CEO of a major public
company. Mr.
Zwibelman also handled several major
pro bono matters,
including the representation of indigent clients in civil and
criminal court.
From 1999 to 2002, Mr.
Zwibelman worked as a trial attorney in the Civil Rights
Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, where he represented
the government in complex cases arising under the Voting Rights
Act and the National Voter Registration Act.
Mr. Zwibelman graduated with
honors from the University of Chicago Law School in 1999, where
he was a member of the University of
Chicago Law
Review.
He received his master of public affairs from
Princeton
University’s
Woodrow
Wilson School
in 1999, and his bachelor of arts from Stanford University
in 1995, where he was a Harry S. Truman Scholar.
