Matthew Popowsky is experienced in complex
commercial litigation.
Prior to joining Brune & Richard in April 2010, Mr. Popowsky was an
associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, where he represented
clients in a wide variety of cases, including securities fraud,
intellectual property, breach of contract and antitrust matters.
In addition, Mr. Popowsky has represented clients involved in
securities offerings and merger transactions.
Mr. Popowsky graduated magna cum laude from New
York University School of Law in 2006, where he was elected to the
Order of the Coif. During
law school, Mr. Popowsky was an editor of the New York University Law
Review, a Glass Fellow and a Florence Allen Scholar.
In addition, Mr. Popowsky had a year-long position at the New
York Civil Liberties Union, and worked as a judicial clerk for
Magistrate Judge Theodore Katz in the Southern District of New York.
Mr. Popowsky graduated with honors from Haverford College
in 2001, with a degree in English.
During college, Mr. Popowsky was a two-year captain of the
Haverford baseball team, and was an academic All-American and
recipient of an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship.
