MaryAnn J. Sung is an experienced litigator in civil,
criminal, and regulatory matters. She has worked on
internal investigations, enforcement actions, securities
litigation, and tort, contract, and employment disputes.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Sung was an associate at Clearly
Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP and The Dontzin Law Firm LLP and
worked with the U.S. Law & Security Program of Human Rights
First as an associated staff attorney.
From 2002 to 2003, Ms. Sung clerked for the Honorable Wilfred
Feinberg of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Ms. Sung graduated magna cum laude in 2002 from New York
University School of Law, where she was a member of The New York
University Law Review and the Immigrant Rights Clinic. She
received the Ann Petluck Poses Memorial Prize for excellence in
the clinical program and the Benjamin F. Butler Memorial Award
for academic and professional distinction. Ms. Sung earned
her undergraduate degree with high honors from Wesleyan
University and was a Ph.D. candidate in history at the
University of California at Berkeley.
