 David Elbaum

David Elbaum is an experienced civil litigator. He has
represented individuals, corporations, private equity firms and
hedge funds in federal and state courts around the country and
in private arbitrations. He has handled a wide variety of
complex commercial cases, including securities fraud, breach of
fiduciary duty and corporate governance disputes, antitrust,
insurance and breach of contract.
Prior to joining Brune & Richard, Mr. Elbaum was Senior Counsel
with the law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, where he
worked from 1997 to 2008. He served as law clerk to the
Honorable Harold Baer, Jr. in the United States District Court
for the Southern District of New York from 1996 to 1997.
Mr. Elbaum graduated magna cum laude from New York University
School of Law in 1995, where he was elected to the Order of the
Coif and received the Edward J. Weinfeld Prize for distinguished
scholarship in the area of federal courts. He was also an
Executive Editor of the New York University Law Review. In
1991, Mr. Elbaum graduated from Brown University with an A.B. in
Physics and History.
